How You Can Get Involved

Community drop-in hours

Visit us on the second and fourth Monday of each month from 2 - 4 p.m. at the Whidbey Island Bank Building to ask questions and talk to project staff.

Working with the Community

Working with the community on the design of the new facility is important to the City of Oak Harbor. Throughout design and construction, the City has worked with the community through:

  • 13 public meetings, open houses, design workshops, and online forums
  • 5 community advisory group meetings for the Windjammer Park Integration Plan
  • 1 groundbreaking event
  • 2 Family Fun Days in Windjammer Park
  • 11 Mailed newsletters and fliers
  • Monthly updates to City Council
  • Over 110 weekly construction email updates to members of the public (to sign up, emailtreatmentplant@oakharbor.org)
